crone cast| 2021 Bangor, Dinas Dinlle

I was invited to join the Cast of Crones in the pandemic lockdown of 2020. It is a collaboration initiated by Wanda Zyborska in 2020 with Lyndsey Coulbourne, Lisa Hudson, Samina Ali, Emily Meilleur, Rhona Bowey and others. Crone Cast explores and subverts aspects of ageing and female empowerment through a series of socially distanced provocations, interventions and performances, filmed and documented in diverse locations including Porthaethwy, Bangor city centre and the exposed beaches of Dinas Dinlle.

Crone Cast: Hagira has been included in Wales Arts International as a Case Study curated by Marc Rees for #PethauBychain.   Crone Cast: Hagira, 2021

Responding and experimenting with the conditions of the pandemic, in the context of climate change, societal and eco-system collapse, they are re-imagining crone as noticed, seen and heard, whilst noticing, looking and listening. Crone Cast: Hagira, 2021
