An amazing night as the University of Bolton opens its Creative Degree Show. Privileged to have come thus far and to share such a fabulous exhibition with my friends and colleagues. Thrilled and privileged to receive awards from NADFAS the Vice-Chancellor's Award of studio space at neo:artists, Bolton

Proud to be one of eleven artists from the University of Bolton who have re-convened as Crook Street Collective whose last exhibition set a record for visitor numbers. We are now returning to neo:gallery 27 in the Market Place, Bolton to launch our latest show called Accretion.
The dramatic setting of the recently opened exhibition space will be transformed by a diverse range of works created, selected and curated by the artists themselves all of whom have graduated from the University between 2013 and 2015. 'a more democratic role for prints' (Bolton Art Gallery, April 2015).
Partial but extensive series of twentieth century British prints from the private collection. Helena Markson's aquatint The Palm House was striking for its transparent layers that merge and fade, inviting us into the space created by varying passage of light and shade. Every year over 1600 young people take their own lives in the UK. Many thousands more contemplate suicide; many harm themselves or suffer alone, afraid to speak openly about how they are feeling. Papyrus exists to give young people hope and to prevent young suicide. Privileged to be part of this exhibition.
'everything comes together ... subjectivity and objectivity, the abstract and the concrete, the real and the imagined, structure and agency' (Soja, 1996)
Three group exhibitions exploring Luck, Chance, Fate, Accidents, Coincidence and Superstition as a subject or a part of the creative process. Exciting, unexpected, imaginative.
Gathered in this place print works by 581 artists representing 42 studios across the UK. A joy to be involved. The exhibition tours nationally from March 2015 to West Yorkshire Print Workshop, The Arthouse, Wakefield, Belfast Print Workshop and The Bluecoat in Liverpool - see more https://www.flickr.com/photos/hot_bed_press/page1/
